HSL XI

Congratulations to our shire on a really great event! I heard a lot of positive comments from our members and guests. Although we had lots more people than usual, everything went very smoothly, with no negative incidents, and it seems as though there was a lot of talk about their plans to come back next year!

I informally polled the merchants, and all said they did well! This is a good sign. Thank you to all the people who went above and beyond the call of duty to stick around and help Ulrick and William and the rest, who were totally exhausted and sunburned, to pick up, tear down, and clean the site!
Although it was very hot, our warriors and rapier fighters were very dedicated to don all that gear and armor, and sweat under the burning sun all day, to prove their valor and tenacity.

My special thanks also go out to the visitors from Dragonslaire and other areas, who came and worked as if it were their own branch, to make HSL a huge success!

Big thanks to our beloved HL Odessa, and HL Mary, for a wonderful weekend!

Once again, we have proven that the "shire folk" are a family who can work and play and grow together, and create "the dream" in all its glory.

My love and big hugs go out to all of you!!!

YIS:) Lady Sonj duBoiis
